I'm a screenwriter, and I'm gonna get the chance to show my contact at CAA what I can do. So I'm dusting off an old project that I think is pretty funny. The thing is, I don't want him to actually have to read it or do any of that hard imagination stuff. So I'm cobbling together an epic pandemic-safe, remotely recorded table read so that this guy can just lazy his way through the story while he's in traffic. ​ "But Brian, why do I care if you get to pitch your stupid thing? **NOTE: Link to download the app from the Google Play Store is in the comments!** If you're an actor worth your salt then you should already be intimately familiar with the idea of attaching *verbs / intentions* to your beats, or in other words **how you are going to get what you want** from your scene partner(s). This app serves as a reference to help you make stronger choices for your verbs and should be used as a complement to your scene analysis. The app features 300+ verbs and all are categorized by their general intent (loving, manipulative, etc). There are books which serve the same general purpose (e.g. *Actions The Actors' Thesaurus*), but the best part about this app is that it's totally **free**! There is a small ad at the bottom but it is non-intrusive. Let me know what you all think, I welcome all feedback!

I am a writer, and I am struggling to imagine a sound of voice for a particular main character. I thought I would hire a voice actor to read a few lines so I can get a better audio picture of him. However, I don’t know much about the business side of voice acting. I don’t want to cheat anyone, but I am TERRIBLE at business/pricing. How much would be a good amount to offer a voice actor for a few lines? Thanks!

So I'm an Indian guy, still a freshman. I want to be an actor, I'm going to Drama, and I'm gonna continue to try to pursue acting as a career. My parents are typical indian parents: they want me to study even if I am pursuing acting. I'm 15, and I have a goal of submitting self tapes when I'm around 16-16 and a half. My parents say that even if I land a role, I gotta finish school, college and all. Their ideology is that I need to have a "backup" plan just in case acting doesn't working in the long term. They said that even if I become an actor, I'm gonna have a hard time landing a lot of roles. Not in terms of skill, but because of my race. To some point, I agree with them. You don't see many Indians landing too many "niche" roles in the Movie industry. Y'know, like action movies, comedy, sci-fi, etc. I just don't know what to do. I want to keep going forward with my goal, but my parents are right, to some extent. Any advice would be much appreciated, and thanks for taking the time to read all of this.

A light-hearted character who struggles with not being able to help his daughter while she is away at college. These are both paid roles, although I sincerely apologize because I am not exactly sure what the rate is yet. I hope to update this post tomorrow with that information. Hi, I need your advice: which accent should I learn as a non-native English speaking actress? British or American and which one specifically? I've found info about the Transatlantic accent but I am not sure if it's not too old or not used anymore in film acting. My goal is to have as many opportunities in international productions as possible and to sound as a native English speaker. My English is fluent and advanced so I just have to focus on the accent. Has anyone had a similar dilemma? How did you solve it? How did you practice it?

So the whole goal with acting is to make what you’re saying seem natural right. What if you have a script that is terrible? Should a good actor still make the lines seem natural? Or are some scripts just so unnatural that even a good actor wouldn’t be able to make them sound good? I’d love to hear any thoughts.
