I am a professional actor who has help many other actors in the industry. I would like to offer my help and services over here if anyone is interested.
Okay. I am a young adult and it is my dream to become a famous and successful actress. I live in a city where acting isn’t big and there are no opportunities, but I live an hour away from a city where acting is major (meaning there are a lot...
I'm the youngest actress in stage 32 because I've been in a production in Eastgate Middle School and I've been singing in choir and earned 2 nominations for Eastgate academy awards for best singer and best ensemble member. Although, I already got an award for best ensemble member at the awards assembly. So, if you want to be like me, Try your best and dare to dream who you want to be and also sing out if you are shy.
Hello all! I'm starting to hunt around for studios/teachers that offer film/tv courses in NYC this spring. (Specifically courses for beginners.) Any recommendations you have would be appreciated!

Hi! Trying to compile a list of every important NYC TV/Film Casting Director/Office and what they cast (genre wise). Casting About is overwhelming and I would love to make a concise list with the kinds of shows/films each office focuses on. Thanks!
I'm a SAG-AFTRA actor who just moved to NYC have only worked TV/Film and commercial projects. A few friends said I should join AEA so I can audition for plays too without the long lines. Just wondering any advice since I'm unknown in the theater world.
I realized something after years of working on projects and pulling the best out of people that there is one thing that remains constant. You have to want to be better and let your actions show. Actors will go to school, take courses, read books, look stupid doing our warmup exercises but one thing they won’t do is this... Research people. No wants to be Qurans people watch. Ride the train or bus and just listen with your eyes and ears. Go to the mall, eat, etc. we are imitating real life. So why are we spending more time in class and not out in the field? If you need more details inbox me. Until then Happy Hustle and I hope this helps.
Hello all, After sending out a batch of emails to casting directors and agents I recieved an email from an agent asking me to come in Friday, which is something I cant do because I have a flight that day an hour after the time he asked to meet. I...
Hi actors, dancers, singers on O1 Visas, I’d like to hear from you and your experience: Have you ever signed or freelanced with an agent? Have you had trouble finding jobs and/or being accepted for jobs because of your legal status? If you have all 25 EMC points is it...
I'm creating an independent animated series as a hobby and expect it to take a loooong time to make. Because the episodes will probably take *at least* a month each to crank out and there are several reoccuring characters, I highly doubt that I would be able to hire voice actors as I'm animating. By the time I finish episode two, who knows, months may pass and there's no way I'd be able to hold down people for that kind of loose commitment. Understanding that most of the time voice acting is recorded before animation, the only solution I have to this right now is either: A. Use a couple of my friends and my own voice and use that as a blueprint for animation. Then later on down the line, hire professional animators to sync/record over our own voices so that they match up with the animation. B. Essentially go the "anime dub" route and just allow the voice actors to try and sync up straight to the animation without any voices to record over (which I heard can be difficult for them and constrain emotional expression) Or C. I write the script from the first episode to the last episode, then hire the voice actors and have them voice it all (not in one sitting of course), and then animate it. My only worry with this is that if I want to go back and change something later down the road, I might not have the same actors anymore. If it's doable, which one would be better?
I’ve always been told I’d be a great voice actor and I’d LOVE to do it! I have a really nice USB mic and pop filter but I’m honestly not sure where to start, besides just starting to submit for gigs. Any advice for a beginner?

I am 29 weeks pregnant and SAG-AFTRA looking for suggestions on how to get acting and commercial print work during my pregnancy. Any suggestion is most welcome!
I'm looking for people who have spent at least a year working or attempting to work as a voice actor/actress. I have my own thoughts on these questions, but I'd really like to know what the greater community thinks. I am looking for responses from legitimate, experienced actors/actresses to answer this thread. This information is not just myself, but for all future novice voice actors/actresses. 1. What are the problems with voice acting that aren't commonly brought up or discussed? 2. Have you been taken advantage of by certain websites, producers, directors, or other types of businesses that should be avoided by those just starting out in voice acting? 3. Is there enough work out there for those who of us that are willing to work for it, in the field of voice acting? 4. What voice actors/actresses should a novice be keeping their eyes on for inspiration? Who are the best role models in the field? 5. Is there a minimum equipment set that should be considered for beginners, especially those of us on a tight budget? 6. What is the best way to find work and make a name for yourself in voice acting? 7. What are your best tips and tricks to make the journey from novice to professional more efficient?

I plan to attain an MFA in acting, starting school either next fall or the following year. Auditions will be tough for me because of my limited experience acting, so it is imperative that I begin working with an acting coach. Most MFA auditions require 2-4 monologues, contemporary and classic....
I want to listen to some really good voice actors (as regarded by the voice acting community) with native USA accents, preferably via examples in literary fiction. Can anyone help me out?
